A planning tool.
Your school sets the rules.
Scorestead is an independent tool for planning high school grades. It is not affiliated with your school, an admissions office, or the owners of linked educational resources. Namecheap provides hosting, not academic verification or endorsement.
How calculations work
In a total-points class, the grade is earned points divided by possible points across included assignments. In a weighted-category class, each category’s average is multiplied by its weight, then divided by the included category weights. Categories can pool points or average percentages equally.
Blank scores are ungraded. A score of zero is a real grade. Exclude mode omits ungraded assignments and empty categories; zero mode counts them as zero according to the rules explained in the gradebook. Starter category weights are examples to edit using your syllabus.
What-if assignments are separate from real grades. The graph and required-score target vary the main what-if assignment while holding extra what-if scores fixed. Targets use unrounded calculations; a required score is rounded upward for display.
GPA is school-specific
Choose your high school’s percentage cutoffs and GPA values. Honors and AP bonuses are configurable; turning weighting off removes them. Credits control each class’s share of the combined GPA. Zero-credit and ungraded/invalid classes are excluded. F grades stay at zero.
The result covers only the classes you entered. It is not your cumulative transcript GPA and does not reproduce college admissions recalculations. Extra credit above an assignment’s maximum, dropped scores, curves, grade replacement after retaking a course, pass/fail policies, and specialized admissions caps are not implemented. Confirm official results with your teacher or counselor.
Using the site
You can use this calculator without signing up or uploading grades. Keep backups if you need to preserve your entries. The tool may have errors or become unavailable, so check important academic decisions against your syllabus and official school records. No result is a promise of a grade, admission outcome, or scholarship.
Responsible use
This free calculator is intended for high school students aged 13 and older. Enter your own scores or fictional examples. Do not enter other students’ private records, attempt to access someone else’s saved data, or interfere with the website. You do not need to enter identifying information to calculate grades.
